Tandool Mahotsav tremendious responce from customers

This is conducted every year, since 1992, in the harvesting season of this grain. Almost 45 varieties of rice are made available directly from Farmers and Producers to the Consumers. This facility eliminates middleman, gives rice availability at lower price and increases revenue generation opportunity for the farmers. The rice varieties include a wide range of grain type, right from 'Basmati' to 'Ambemohor' and 'Dubraj' to 'Kalimuch'.

The specialty of this festival is that rice is made clean and packed in special sizes such as 5 kg, 10 kg and 25 kg. Consumers generally prefer to buy this best quality rice purchased at best rates to store and use as required for the whole year. Tandul Mahotsav concludes with a cultural event for consumers.

Conducted in the harvesting season of these two staple grains, the sales crossed Rs. 77 lakhs and Rs. 1 crore 70 lakhs, respectively, this year.

The achievement for Grahak Peth apart from consumer satisfaction is bagging the 'Kohinoor Foods India Award' for two consecutive years for being the leading retail seller in the country of the most popular rice brand, i.e., Kohinoor.

A remarkable outcome of this activity is the donation of Rs.1 lakh to the 'NAAM Foundation' (of renowned film artist Shri Nana Patekar and Shri Makarand Anaspure) towards drought relief.
